Beginner'Q : can't connect to port 25

Hi people,

I'm runing RH5.1, linux 2.2.0.
There is no more sendmail.

I just set up Qmail (rpm 1.0.3-6) following
instruction from Mini-Howto by Ying Zhang
(http://www.sfu.ca/~yzhang/linux/qmail/index.html)
I'm using ucspi-tcp-0.84.

When i do /etc/rc.d/init.d/qmail start, all the exe seems
to start (ps -auxf).

But when I try "telnet localhost 25", there is no
welcome message from qmail and I can't quit (even
with "^]" ) !!

Any help is welcome.
