If you're using TCP wrappers (built into BSD inetd's; bolt-on-able to other inetd's),
you can block unresolvable IP addresses, I think with the keyword PARANOID
If you're running Qmail through tcpserver, I presume this has a similar functionality.
Summary: Block unresolvable addresses before Qmail gets hold of the message.
