It's as if the list bounced someone's delivery and that
bounce was then sent out to each of the members of the list.
I sh!tcanned the messaged as I didn't know the
answer and it appeared as if it wasn't directed
toward me in the first place.

Just my guess. It wouldn't be the first time that qmail/ezmlm did
something that I couldn't figure out! :-/
