It's either inetd or tcpserver (the latter, preferably) that may do a DNS
lookup. If that makes the system dial out, then your interna DNS is busted.
Either create a reverse and forward zone file for your LAN, or add the -H
and -llocalname options to tcpserver (see man tcpserver for more info).
