There should be something in the qmail log files telling you why the mail isn't
being delivered. I would suspect that it's a problem with permissions on the
directories it's trying to deliver to (the ones you've specified in your assign
file). Make sure they're readable and writable by gwooden, and not group or
world readable or writable.
