Thanks! Yes. POP3 is not a replacement for SMTP. Multidrop mode is broken. What you need to do is to either have your provider add an extra header which indicates the real envelope recipient, or receive mail via SMTP. When mail goes into your mailbox, it loses the envelope recipient information. Fetchmail can try to guess what the envelope recipient is, in multidrop mode, but, as you found out, that would only be a guess, and it some situations it would be wrong.
