I've got a few machines here running qmail.
One machine is running version 1.01, and it is logging incoming smtp IP's
correctly to the maillog.
The 2 other machines were just recently upgraded to 1.03.
I just noticed that qmail is now neglecting to log smtp connections
on these machines, and I am having difficultly finding why.
On both machines, qmail-smtp is launched the same way:
/usr/local/bin/tcpserver -c 60 -x /usr/local/etc/tcp.smtp.rules.cdb -g 1002
-u \
1007 -l [hostname] -t 15 0 25 /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd \
2>&1 | /var/qmail/bin/splogger smtpd 3 &
The syslog.conf is also identical between the machines.
Was there some sort of change from 1.01 to 1.03 in the methods to log smtp?
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
