*HARDWARE* RAID

RAID 0 is going to give you the best performance with no safety.

RAID 1 is going to give you the best safety without a large 
performance gain.

I'm taking a hard look at RAID 1+0, striping across mirrored pairs.

Because with 35K pop+smtp accounts, IO is going to be an issue for the queue.
