Howto setup host aliases (.qmail file for username@host.domain.com)

Is there a way to setup a host alias when the host
does not exist. For example, I am trying to setup
email aliases for people's pagers.

I would like to setup a .qmail file alias that 
contains [EMAIL PROTECTED] and have pages
send pages to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Your help/suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.
