99% supported (VERP is better than that) => 1x work. 80% supported =>
20 x work.
Sam's 1000x bandwidth for VERP over DSN is widely exaggerated. More
like 2x at most (most bounces are preVERP, most messages have single
recipients, most mailing lists have no more than 10% of members at the
most frequent domain, 5% at one or two others,... So, it's very hard to
go above 2x in message transfer even with pure mailing list traffic).
Also, there are specific solutions for situations where bandwidth is an
issue.
