Look at the matchup man page. When running matchup there are some
messages that are pending (not all deliveries done) and some deliveries
done for which the initial message entry is not in the log. Saving info
on pending messages and integrating it into the next run fixes this.
What I meant was that this is a small problem if most of your messages
are delivered right away and/or you run on many says worth of logs at a
time.
If you run this daily and you have mailing lists it will be very much
off.
