Classic remedy for most solaris build problems:
Make sure to have /usr/ccs/bin in your path.
I usually do this:
export PATH=/usr/local/bin/:/opt/gnu/bin/:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
since gcc often are installed in /usr/local/bin and gnutools are
installed in /opt/gnu/bin.
