Hello. I have commited a set of php scripts that make administering ezmlm-idx lists easy. At this point it contain some basic functionality but works quite well (for me atleast). I will work on this software further and i would like to ask you to test it and submit patches and enhancements. Ofcourse only if you like it. The software's home page is: http://www.elysium.pl/members/brush/php-ezmlm/index.html I'm looking forward for your feedback. Krzysztof Dabrowski
Hi! I just installed ezmlm 0.53 without IDX yet. Everything was OK, I did the test : I can subscribe, then I receive messages to mylogin-testlist@myhost, but when I mail mylogin-testlist-unsubscribe@myhost, I get : Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mumbly.xon-xoff.fr. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <mylogin-testlist-unsubscribe@myhost>: ezmlm-manage: fatal: I do not accept messages at this address (#5.1.1) I saw in /home/mylogin, there is a .qmail-testlist, .qmail-teslist-owner, ... but no .qmail-subscribe or .qmail-unsubscribe I did exactly what was tell in "INSTALL". Thank you !
Hello. Sorry for making big noise about small things but the initial distribution of my program contained serious bugs in the list modification code and various smaller one. I've fixed them and the updated version is available on the webpage. The software's home page is: http://www.elysium.pl/members/brush/php-ezmlm/index.html I'm looking forward for your feedback. Presumed domain name is babel.sintesoft.net. helohost: (Default.) SMTP client HELO host name is babel.sintesoft.net. idhost: (Default.) Message-ID host name is babel.sintesoft.net. localiphost: (Default.) Local IP address becomes babel.sintesoft.net. locals: Messages for localhost are delivered locally. Messages for .sintesoft.net are delivered locally. me: My name is babel.sintesoft.net. ------------------------------ This is a part of it, the most important I see that is not correct is envnoathost it says presumed domain: babel.sintesoft.net and I think it should say only sintesoft.net because babel is the name of the server. Any other line of showctl should I check for this problem?. > >/mail/vpopmail/bin/clearopensmtp 2>&1 > /dev/null > /mail/vpopmail/bin/clearopensmtp > /dev/null 2>&1 I've changed to the 2nd line, so I hope it works fine.

How can I change it?. Hello Martin, man qmail-control: envnoathost defaults to me, so putting sintesoft.net into envnoathost and giving qmaila HUP should be it. Regards Mirko

I usually do this: export PATH=/usr/local/bin/:/opt/gnu/bin/:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin since gcc often are installed in /usr/local/bin and gnutools are installed in /opt/gnu/bin. /magnus -- "MOST USELESS site of the year 1998" -- http://x42.com/

Just as importantly, make sure it's in your path before /usr/ucb. The ucb dir has an ld which is badly broken. Completely useless except to keep FAQ writers in business (it's in the sun admin faq and the solaris faq). -- The 5 year plan: In five years we'll make up another plan. Or just re-use this one.

Title: SIGHUP and qmail-sendWhat exactly happens when qmail-send is sent a SIGHUP? Does it force the sub-daemons to quit and reload themselves?

Hello All, This is my first message to the list. I'm new with qmail and I think qmail is the best!!! Is it possible to authenticate user in MySQL database? Best regards, Ari
Hi, I can't find in the documentation the instructions to install qmail-pop3d. Where can I find it? Best regards, Ari
Ok. I've set qmail up before with no problems but for some reason a machine which I installed it on today does not seem to be working right. It seems to refuse all mail sent to it from outside the local host. An example: "Remote host said: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) Giving up." However, the domain that I'm sending to IS in the rcpthosts and in the locals file. Even stranger, none of the attempted deliveries and subsequent bounces are logged! Connections from the local machine are logged fine(telneting to port 25 and sending a test message by hand for example), but when I send mail from outside(yahoo mail in this case), nothing ever shows up in the logs. I've noticed that all of /var/qmail/control is owned by root, could this cause the problems? I'm sure I'm doing something stupid for which I will soon find the answer, but any advice would still be appreciated. Thanks, Jack __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Where does the MX records point? You don't tell us what the domain is so we can't help much. On Fri, 27 Aug 1999, Victor Hugo wrote: > Ok. Hi, My qmail instalation is working - almost!!! - I can send message to anywhere using qmail-inject. - I can read messages from any workstation using any client program (netspace, outlook, ...) - I can only send messages from the workstation to a local domain, when I try to send to <someone>@yahoo.com, for example, the qmail display an error: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcphosts (#5.7.1). What is wrong? Best regards, Ari
You need to set it up to allow your clients to relay. Hello, I am trying to get back to install Qmail on my system. The README file did not list kernel 2.2.x. How should "make" create the binaries for the 2.2.12 kernel? Thank you in advance. i have a really lame question. the install of qmail-memphis rpm went ok. the server came up fine. it accepts incoming mail, however, when testing to send remote mail (including as root), i get the following error: echo to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | /var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject 935806810.543829 delivery 6: deferral: Sorry,_message_has_wrong_owner._(#4.3.5)/ 935806810.543872 status: local 0/10 remote 0/20 i double check the permission and process owners, which seem ok also. i have been troubleshootng this a whole day and can't figure it out. am i overlooking somehting obvious? thanks.

Smtproutes in concept creates an extra MX record with priority -1.
