verbatim. Thus, I think I can guarantee you that the corruption you
are seeing happens elsewhere.

So it's most natural to suspect the MTA at that domain, or perhaps
more likely a MUA in popular use there.

Well, qmail accepts 8-bit in and passes it on unchanged. Again, you
will have to look elsewhere, though I have never heard of 7-bit
madness replacing whole chunks of text by X's, like you're seeing.
