I'm running qmail on a solaris box. For some reason users other than
root can't send mail. I followed the INSTALL.ids file but to no avail.
Also, I've setup qmail twice on FreeBSD boxes with no problems at all.
The only thing I noticed that was weird was that the solaris box doesn't
have a A Name record to it. It's listed in the SOA record as domain.net
without a hostname. I thought that mail servers require canonical name
records but qmail will send only as root. Does anyone know what I'm
doing wrong? I get this error: qmail-inject: fatal: read error. Also,
Most programs automatically goto /usr/lib/sendmail or /usr/sbin/sendmail
which is why we link them to /var/qmail/bin/sendmail. But how come I
can't send mail from this binary?
