I'm using QMail 1.03, and using tcpserver instead of inetd. Linux 2.0.xx. Some POP3 account users are complaining of slow POP3 authentication. About 50% of the time, authentication times out. I have noticed the problem too, but once authenticated, download of email is quite fast. Are there not enough connections allocated for tcpserver? How can I check if maximum connections are being used? Or are there settings in QMail itself I need to change? Thanks, Jose
