Hello,
Is it possible to use tcpserver with ssltelnet?

Sounds like a DNS-related problem. I seem to remember that similar
problems were discussed a couple of times on this list. Disabling hostname
lookups may help. You may want to check the archives.
Hope it helps.

Maybe this is because the applications are trying to do reverse
lookup on the private IP address. Try setting up the in-addr.arpa
zone for the private IPs in your local (private) DNS.

We are running a back of servers running QMAIL for inbound SMTP
connections. Are there any problems associated with NFS mounting the
/var/qmail/control directory as to allow all of these machines to share
the same configuration?
All of the QMAIL servers do the same thing and are configured
identically (all machines are load balanced by a BigIP redirector for
performance and failover purposes).
The only file I can see some issues with is the '/control/me' file.
unix% ls /var/qmail/control/
defaultdomain locals me plusdomain rcpthosts
Any ways around that?
--curtis
You might be better off to mount the /var/qmail/control to a different
directory and then symlink all the files except me. That way you get the
advantages of single maintenance control files and the disadvantage of
single point of failure!!! If you're load balancing for redundancy, this
doesn't seem to fit your overall plan. If you're load balancing for
performance, you won't care.

Hello all. After finally getting qmail up and running, I am trying to add
pop to the mix. I have installed checkpassword and added pop to the qmail
startup script. I have also tested the install with:
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup host /bin/checkpassword pwd
as suggested in the INSTALL for checkpassword and it works fine. Now I try
to connect with:
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup host /bin/checkpassword /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d maildir
and I get the following error:
-ERR this user has no $HOME/Maildir
I know that user has a Maildir, I've been using a local MUA to read mail using
Maildir format. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?
Thanks,
-Peter

Have you got "host" above literally? It must be your host's full domain
name, not the word "host" itself.
And have you got "maildir" above really? If yes, try to change it to
"Maildir".

and it still is not delivering
Have a look at qmail-ldap at http://www.nrg4u.com/
