A lot of people have claimed serious improvements, but I must admit I
haven't measured anything significant.

I use Solaris 2.6 as well so I am starting to believe the patch has little
effect with this OS.

We send lots and lots of emails. Using qmail, the todo dir grows quickly
and more than 10000 messages wait to be processed in the queue. The big
todo patch doesn't help a bit.

I stopped using qmail for outbound email because of this problem and had to
write an MTA (or part of) that fits our needs better.
