I did my first installation of qmail today. The installation went through
like a charm and I can now send mails locally. I was doing the tests as per
TEST.deliver and was testing a bounce back mail. Because of no aliases a
bounced mailed went into deffered mode. I updated the aliases file for root,
postmaster and mailer-daemon. Now I have a problem. My qmail won't start.
All I can see under my logs is this:
myhost qmai: 942591524:342307 alert: cannot start: unable to read controls
When I telnet to port 25 of my machine I get the same error.
421 unable to read controls (#4.3.0)
Connection closed by foreign host
Would appreciate any help on the same.
