line feeds with carriage return

I'm using Qmail 1.03.9 (rpm pakcage)
Recently, someone reported that he couldn't send e-mail from his domain to 
my domain with line feeds carriage return or bare line in the message.
Is it normal ? Is there any way to fix it ?
