Peter,

As it happens, I built qmail using gnu tools so I don't have /usr/ccs/bin in
the path at all. Most stuff is in /usr/local/bin. The path for root is
currently:

/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/ucb:/var/qmail/
bin:/home/vpopmail/bin

Why does this cause qmail-smtpd (+ qmail-pop3d as well) to die regularly?
Do you think this could be the problem here? It *used* to run OK - it's
only recently that I've run into this problem.

R.
