/usr/local/bin/tcpserver 0 110 /usr/local/bin/popper &
Handle any logging you have enabled in qpopper appropriately. If you
want to allow/disallow then use the -x parameter in tcpserver just like
you would when setting up qmail-smtpd.
tcpserver can be used for just about anything you can think of that might
otherwise be run from inetd. I'm even using it on a private network for
nightly backups. On FreeBSD I have it running telnetd, and since I run
a standalone ftpd I've been able to shut off inetd altogether. One word
of caution tho, I had absolutely NO luck running telnetd on hpux, it was
a good thing the console was close by.
