All right - I've just poked through the code to look at what causes
that error, and I'm stumped ;>.
At a wild guess, make sure that /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue and
/var/qmail/queue/mess/* are owned by the same user and group (qmaild:qmail,
I think) and that qmail-queue is setuid.
Anybody else have more light than I do?
