Ah, there is a problem in some versions of the 3Com card that only rises
up on a 100Mbit connection, a 10 Mbit can't supply data fast enough. If
you look in the logs, you'll probably notice an error about concurrency,
but I don't know more than that. Check the archives of BugTraq, I think it
was discussed there for a week or so, with a couple of workarounds. One is
to get a different version of the driver, and the other is re-compiling the
existing driver with a higher concurrency. Sorry I don't have more
details.: )
