In which case the mail would be blocked after MAIL FROM, as in:

250 rly-yg04.mx.aol.com OK
mail from:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
550 REQUESTED ACTION NOT TAKEN: DNS FAILURE

The gentleman who wrote posted a log excerpt showing his email being
accepted by AOL.
