under 5.6.2. Logs. It describes where logs go.
Look also in the sysvinit script in LWQ.
What do you have in /var/qmail/rc? is it an "splogger qmail" maybe? Then
take a look in one of these
/var/log/syslog
/var/adm/SYSLOG
/var/log/maillog
/var/adm/messages
/var/log/messages
/magnus
