But it only looks at them if there isn't already a From: line, and pine is a helpful program that puts a From: line in messages it writes. In your pinerc file, personal-name sets the name in parens, and user-domain is analogous to MAILHOST. I can't see any way to change the user name, it doesn't look at USER or LOGNAME. -- John R.
