I'm glad I managed to provide some entertainment,
maybe not of the highest quality but always... ;-)
>From /etc/rc2.d startup script (currently this is a copy of /etc/init.d/qmail
file):
"ulimit -v 2048"
there are no other limits set.
I understand that this limits the size of virtual memory available to qmail.
Does it mean that qmaill tries to start perl but fails because of the above
limit? What value is advisable here?
