It depends on your email traffic. A small company usually has a single box for web/ftp/mail/fax/dns and no more than 20 mails per hour. Nobody will notice the compression CPU overhead, but more disk space will be available. And yes, disks are cheap these days, but RAID makes them expensive. Best regards.
