qmail smtp problem

hi all,
i installed qmail-smtpd with tcpserver.
When i try to send mail from another machine (using this as smtp server)
it says:  "error this domain isn't in my rcpthosts list"....something like
this.
I set up my rcphosts variable but it doesn't work!!
Any idea???
