procmail has "native" maildir support since 3.14.

The only changes you need to make in your procmailrc is to remove
locking (not necessary anymore) and add a trailing slash at the end of
each maildir name (to indicate that it's a maildir procmail is
delivering to), e.g.

        :0:
        * ^delivered-to: mailing list qmail@list\.cr\.yp\.to
        qmail

becomes

        :0
        * ^delivered-to: mailing list qmail@list\.cr\.yp\.to
        qmail/
