But the qmail > sendmail seems to ignore this. EOF on Unix systems is ctrl-D. The "." to end is an SMTP-ism, which makes no sense with the sendmail wrapper, as it isn't speaking SMTP. Yes, we know the real sendmail does it, but that doesn't mean it isn't a broken design.
