You can find a full listing in RFC 1939, available at:

http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1939.html

A brief summary of the more useful commands for basic validation and
troubleshooting work:

USER username Log in as username.
PASS password Give username's password (unencrypted!).
STAT List how many messages are on the server, with total
byte count. Additional information may be given.
LIST [msg#] List all messages (or only the specified one), giving
the message's ID number and byte size.
RETR msg# Retrieve message number msg#. (May scroll your screen!)
DELE msg# Delete message number msg#.
NOOP Null operation.

Although I have put the commands in all-caps for clarity, they are
case-insensitive. More information is available in the above-referenced
RFC, which I highly recommend you read if you want to know more about POP3
syntax and commands.
