As far as qmail is concerned, RH 7 is much better than earlier RHs.
For one, sendmail does not get installed by default anymore if your
qmail rpm has appropriate provides.

And qmail and friends compile without any problems whatsoever.  So I
really do not understand this discussion in relation to qmail.
