I would be shocked if it actually analysed the received headers using
a local list of trusted IP address to figure out where the spam
really came from. All this does is make Joe Jobs a lot more nasty.

My advice to our users is, that if you don't want to learn how to analyse
received headers and actually take the time to do it, complaining just makes
things worse.
