mail not process

I have encounted a strange problem here, all the mails I send are kept in the queue and in unprocess state:

# /var/qmail/bin/qmail-qstat
messages in queue: 8
messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 8

when I issued this command:

# ps -A | grep qmail
#
I get nothing result, the mail server is a fresh installation and I have follow the qmail-HowTo doc
