I have a strong suspect that by announcing this new policy in this
manner, a lot sites that currently use the "direct" mode will get
burned on July 31, 2001 - these sites only know when their mail
servers started acting up..

I also have a strong feeling that the effectiveness of MAPS project
will decrease with time.  Now that it plans to charge money, so I
suspect a significant percent of the large number of people who have been
reporting potentail spamming sites or relay sites to MAPS will have
second thought.  MAPS couldn't have caught what it has stored in its
database without the help of unpaid contributors.  After July 31,
2001, who knows?

Anyways, thanks again for the pointer.  I will stop here and think
about the impact to our setup of rblsmtpd, and our options.  This
piece of news certainly is not a pleasant one.
