That is strange I did download gcc-3.0.1-sol8-sparc-local from
sunfreeware.com. And that is what I used when I got this error?
Do I need maybe to downgrade to gcc-2.95.2-sol8-sparc-local? I have another
Sun box running this versions and I had no problems with compile.
And is it possible to downgrade?
Thanks
Mike

Your compiler (well, the assembler) appears to be very badly broken.
Either find a fix from Sun, or download gcc&friends from sunfreeware.com
and use gcc to compile qmail. Edit conf-cc.
