Do you mean checkpassword-0.81? I don't think it should care what kind of
passwords you use; it uses the system's crypt(), and should support any kind of
password your system supports.
Even if you don't mean checkpassword-0.81, I'd think that any kind of password
checker that uses crypt() shouldn't care what kind of passwords your particular
crypt() implements.
