i have a problem to
authenticate virtual users.
The System is
working so far. I can send and receive emails. If i use pop3/checkpassword to receive emails the username
have to be set in /etc/passwd otherwise the password is rejected. If i use imap
i can use the virtual account without setup in /etc/passwd. From imap i use
authvmailmgr to authenticate.
I tried to use
smtp-auth and it fails too. There is a screen coming up ask for
password.
I patched
checkpassword to read the password.cdb file. I set the correct location in the
Makefile.
The smtpd uses AUTH,
i can see if i telnet. I think there have to be something wrong with the
authentication.
I tried to compile
checkpassword 0.81 + 0.90 and the use of checkvpw but i can't get it
work.
Can anyone point me
in the right direction or has an idea what could be wrong?
