Okay, I found this in a FAQ, sorry I didn't find before posting:

"authvchkpw

The Vpopmail library often uses MySQL by itself, but Courier! doesn't have a 
way of knowing that. When that happens, authvchkpw will fail to compile 
because it is necessary to link
authvchkpw with MySQL libraries. When that happens, the Makefile must be 
manually edited to link authvchkpw with MySQL." 

Anyone know how how to "link authvchkpw with MySQL" in the Makefile?
