if you check "./configure --help" you'll see a --enable-ipauth={Y|n} param.
Default is Y. Turn it off, and you've solved the IP problem.

Using my ISP's installation of QmailAdmin, I get File error 6 errors.
Occasionally I get an error telling me I've already logged on. I've tracked these problems down, and found out that since I'm accessing the interface through a proxy, my IP address is probably changing, and QmailAdmin uses this as part of it's authentication scheme.
Given that many people these days are accessing the internet through a proxy (and if they aren't, they probaby should), I have several questions:
1. Why the authentication based on IP address?
2. Is there any way to turn this off, so that a standard SSL session and cookie is all that's needed to authenticate?
3. Are there any other issues to implementing #2?
