Was there a reason you need to upgrade to RH 8.0 ?   Are you mainly wanting to get the newer kernel, or are there other apps from RH 8.0 that you specifically require?   At our ISP, we have a lot of RH 7.2, RH 7.3 and RH 8.0 servers. We have found no need to convert the 7.2 and 7.3 servers to newer Redhat, because it is simple to upgrade the kernels   There are 2.4.20 kernels available for all three of these Redhat releases.
