Hi,
I have installed qmail, vpopmail, qmailadmin and sqwebmail on several
systems. Having no problems at all.
This time I installed qmail and all the addons on SuSE 7.0 where the home
directories are located on /export/home instead of /home. When I add a user
on the system with the useradd command there is no problem for qmail to
deliver the mail to their Maildir in /export/home/user/Maildir.
When I use vpopmail to add a new user I get the following error: 'deferral:
Unable_to_chdir_to_maildir._(#4.2.1)/'. It doesn't matter if I add the user
within vpopmail or with qmailadmin. Vpopmail is placed in
/export/home/vpopmail.
I have compared modes etc between my successful installations and this one
and they are all the same.
Anybody has a clue to why qmail can't open the Maildirs?
Current installation is using
vpopmail 4.9.6
qmailadmin 0.39
courier-imap 1.2.3
sqwebmail 1.0.3
All these features responds as they should. And there is no problem sending
mail from the different accounts.
