forwards not appearing in qmail admin

I recently had an install of qmailadmin-0.42 working.

Then due to some problems, I reinstalled vpopmail-4.9.8 

Since then, I can create a new forward in qmailadmin, however, when i view 
the list of forwards in place, the new forward does not appear, yet the 
.qmail file exists and the forward works. 

Since then I've reinstalled qmailadmin, but this did not fix the problem. 

Your help is appreciated.
