I will have to dig up the info but a user once showed me how to import a
list with the ezmlm-sub command. it was something like ezmlm-sub <domain> <<
<listname>. Let me try it and see what I can come up with.

>From the ezmlm-sub man page:

-n Assume arguments are pairs of box@domain and name (or other
subscriber info) rather than addresses alone. ezmlm-sub(1) will add
the first argument in each pair to the subscriber list. If it is a
new address, name will be added to the subscription log.

This means that the name field only goes in the subscription log, not in the
subscriber list itself. This isn't the same as a gecos field of a user
account, and unless you had access to dir/Log, you wouldn't be able to
associate an address with a name.

If this is important to your users, and the list is not a discussion list
but rather more of a newsletter type thing, you might want to try something
other than qmailadmin and an ezmlm list. There are a few web based tools
out there to do this, many in php/mysql. Easy to setup.
