One already exists.  It's called vcalias.  It *was* shipped in the contrib
area...it doesn't seem to be there anymore though...wierd.  I have a
compiled version for Linux if you like, as I used it myself.  It reads
through an entire domain and puts all .qmail files into the valias table
except for the .qmail-default

Incidentally, it might be cool to have a utility like vconvert to
convert your existing .qmail aliases to the valias table.  Maybe call it
"vconvertalias" or something of the like....
