Nice..., well, maybe this?:

Well, if you have test.com and test2.com you may change the
.qmail-default for domain test.com with: | forward "$LOCAL"@test2.com
where LOCAL is the name of the user configured for test2.com. You have
to create also a user account in test.com or create a "catch" for all
the users (qmail local file). Aha..(Also you may copy the user Maildir
-tree, don't forget to use cp -pR)... you use Maildir format, right?..

Now qmail-local will try to find the exact mailbox configured this time
for domain test.com. When there is an existing user (testuser) with a
vacation message, like:

| /usr/local/bin/autorespond 86400 3
/home/vpopmail/domains/test2.com/testuser/vacation/message
/home/vpopmail/domains/test2.com/testuser/vacation
/home/vpopmail/domains/test2.com/testuser/Maildir/

it will respond from domain test.com... I think... :-) (may be not, I
did not tested it... no time... otherwise you have to filter all the
messages, you will find filter-tooling at qmail.org)

Have fun,

Woozy
