Aliases are incompatible with account forwarding. For example, if I setup
mailer-daemon as an alias for postmaster, then setup postmaster to forward
to [EMAIL PROTECTED], it will only forward messages sent to the postmaster.
Any messages sent to mailer-daemon will be delivered to postmaster, which is
obviously not the desired behavior.

I realize that aliases work by setting the .qmail-aliasname to deliver to
the target account's Maildir and that this keeps any .qmail file for the
target account from working. However, I can see this as being a big problem
for users if I let them administrate their accounts or domains with
qmailadmin. I view this as a usability problem / bug in the interface.

A possible fix would be to convert any aliases into forwards both when
forwarding is enabled for the account and when forwarding is already enabled
when the aliases are created. If this is too difficult, then maybe an
option to disable aliases entirely would be the best solution.

Is there a better way to fix this with qmail?
