i'd like to chime in with a 'me too' on this. maybe not a frameset, but even something as simple as a pastel shading to the background that alternates every three rows or so, and maybe make most of the buttons in columns blue, with the 'dangerous' ones - deletes - red.I'll chime in with a "me three" with this idea. Anywhere you're using a red dot as a button for "delete", replace it with a red X or a trashcan. We should be able to find small icons (16x16?) to replace many of the buttons with, and it could help reduce confusion.
Some ideas...
Modify User: pencil on paper icon
Delete: Red X or trash can
Catchall Account: Hmmm... Maybe this should be replaced with a radio button that indicates the account that acts as a catchall.
Remove the dimmed button to delete the postmaster account (just leave a blank space). Use the dimmed button for any catchall account that isn't set as catchall, and use the red button for the one that is catchall.
Move the buttons to the left side of the data. This is especially useful on the aliases/forwards screen where some forwards are long and others aren't. Otherwise, alternate colors in the rows to help visually group the buttons with the information.
For the mailing list page:
This requires some changes, but you could group the subscriber/moderator/digest-subscriber parts together, so you'd have the following:
Add to list
Delete from list
Show Subscribers
Show Digest Subscribers (only visible on lists with a digest option)
Show Moderators (only visible on moderated lists)
Clicking on "Add to list" would give the add page with a selection of radio buttons or a popup to select subscriber, digest subscriber or moderator (only available on moderated lists). Same for delete from list.
"Delete" should be changed to "Delete List" with an icon of an X through a piece of paper.
"Delete from list" could use an icon of a red X through a person.
"Add to list" could use an icon of a person with a small blue +.
Instead of a person in the icons, you could use an "@" to represent an email address.
I'll start working on some of these ideas. If anyone can point me to a good source for free icons, I'll use them during development.
